Starting from the Month Pillar. Yang-year males and Yin-year females go forward; Yin-year males and Yang-year females go backward. Each pillar covers 10 years. Starting age is calculated by counting days to the next (or previous) solar term, divided by three (three days = one year).
A luck pillar brings external five-element energy. If it activates your favorable element, that decade goes well. If it brings your unfavorable element, expect challenges. Example: weak Day Master needing Water — a Water luck decade brings mentors, study opportunities, and career growth.
Each year has a Gan-Zhi. 2024 is Jia-Chen, 2025 is Yi-Si. When the year's branch clashes or combines with your chart pillars, events get triggered. A year clashing with your Day Branch may bring relationship changes. A year combining with your favorable element brings opportunities.
